SCHOOL STRUCTURE
Ananda Marga Board of Education
The Ananda Marga Board of Education is made up of educators from around Australia. The Board supports the River School in a variety of ways.
Management Committee
The Management Committee consists of administrators and supporters of the school who meet regularly to manage the day to day running of the school, and to co-ordinate with staff and parents to determine long-term planning and policy.
Parents Meeting
A Parents meeting is held monthly and all parents and friends of the school are encouraged to attend.
Funding
The River School receives recurrent funding both from state and federal governments. In addition, we receive grants, donations and fundraise to achieve our goals. Our school is a member of Independent Schools Queensland. As well as a Small School's Network, collaborating and lobbying with other like minded schools.
Building Fund
We have a tax-deductible building fund to aid in the continual improvement of our facilities. All donations to the fund are welcome.
Parents are encouraged to help in all aspects.
Newsletter
Our school newsletter is published in Weeks 2, 6 & 9 of each Term - this is posted on our website www.amriverschool.org.
We encourage parents to make sure they access the newsletter, and to read it carefully, as many important details and special events are published there.
Parents are also welcome to submit items for the newsletter.
